Nucleoside alkaloids with anti-platelet aggregation activity from the rhizomes of Ligusticum striatum

Two new (1–2) and six known (3–8) nucleoside alkaloids were isolated from the rhizomes of Ligusticum striatum DC. Compounds 1 and 2 (liguadenosines A and B) were unusual N-10 substituted adenosine derivatives. Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analyses and ECD calculation. Most of them significantly inhibited the abnormal increase in platelet aggregation induced by ADP at concentrations of 50 and 100 μM. Particularly, the inhibitory effect of 3 was equivalent to aspirin.     

The Riemann–Hilbert analysis to the Pollaczek–Jacobi type orthogonal polynomials

In this paper, we study polynomials orthogonal with respect to a Pollaczek–Jacobi type weight The uniform asymptotic expansions for the monic orthogonal polynomials on the interval (0,1) and outside this interval are obtained. Moreover, near , the uniform asymptotic expansion involves Airy function as , and Bessel function of order α as in the neighborhood of , the uniform asymptotic expansion is associated with Bessel function of order β as . The recurrence coefficients and leading coefficient of the orthogonal polynomials are expressed in terms of a particular Painlevé III transcendent. We also obtain the limit of the kernel in the bulk of the spectrum. The double scaled logarithmic derivative of the Hankel determinant satisfies a σ‐form Painlevé III equation. The asymptotic analysis is based on the Deift and Zhou's steepest descent method.     

Oxidative Epigallocatechin Gallate Coating on Polymeric Substrates for Bone Tissue Regeneration

Plant derived flavonoids have not been well explored in tissue engineering applications due to difficulties in efficient formulations with biomaterials for controlled presentation. Here, the authors report that surface coating of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) on polymeric substrates including poly (L‐lactic acid) (PLLA) nanofibers can be performed via oxidative polymerization of EGCG in the presence of cations, enabling regulation of biological functions of multiple cell types implicated in bone regeneration. EGCG coating on the PLLA nanofiber promotes osteogenic differentiation of adipose‐derived stem cells (ADSCs) and is potent to suppress adipogenesis of ADSCs while significantly reduces osteoclastic maturation of murine macrophages. Moreover, EGCG coating serves as a protective layer for ADSCs against oxidative stress caused by hydrogen peroxide. Finally, the in vivo implantation of EGCG‐coated nanofibers into a mouse calvarial defect model significantly promotes the bone regeneration (61.52 ± 28.10%) as compared to defect (17.48 ± 11.07%). Collectively, the results suggest that EGCG coating is a simple bioinspired surface modification of polymeric biomaterials and importantly can thus serve as a promising interface for tuning activities of multiple cell types associated with bone fracture healing.     

煤直接液化油中混合酚的分离研究

利用分子筛择形特点，对煤直接液化油中的混合酚实施高效分离。本研究选取间甲酚和对甲酚作为分离煤直接液化油馏分段混合酚的模型化合物，采用化学液相沉积法对HZSM-5吸附剂的孔口结构进行改变，分析分子筛硅铝比及颗粒粒径对模型化合物间甲酚和对甲酚吸附分离性能的影响，以获得高性能固相吸附剂，并将其应用于180-190℃馏分段混合酚分离。结果表明，当分子筛硅铝比为25、粒径为3-5 μm时，分子筛的孔口结构调节效果最优；当正硅酸乙酯的最小用量为0.2 mL/g时，固相吸附剂的吸附量为0.03 g/g，对甲酚选择性高于95%。由于外表面沉积物对吸附剂的孔口结构变化，导致对甲酚选择性的提高。进一步采用HZSM-5（1）吸附剂对真实煤直接液化油混合酚的分离中发现，苯酚和对甲酚的选择性均达到100%。     

四方体MgO的制备及对有机染料的吸附

以六水氯化镁和六次甲基四胺为原料,采用水热法合成四方体MgO,考察其对有机染料甲基橙和亚甲基蓝的吸附行为.通过TGA-DTA、SEM、XRD、N2-sorption和FT-IR等手段表征样品.结果表明,原料浓度、温度和表面活性剂对四方体MgO结构的形成影响较小,而反应时间的延长有助于有序结构的组装.温度170℃、时间24h、MgCl2·6H2O与C6H12N4浓度比为1∶2和表面活性剂PVP是制备四方体MgO的最佳条件.在溶液浓度10mg · L-1的单一吸附实验过程中,四方体MgO对甲基橙和亚甲基蓝的去除率分别为91.3;和22.3;,吸附过程均为单层吸附且符合Langmuir等温吸附模型和伪二级吸附动力学方程.在溶液浓度40 mg·L-1、甲基橙和亚甲基蓝浓度比3∶1的混合溶液吸附过程中,四方体MgO对甲基橙和亚甲基蓝的去除率分别为80.1;和97.9;.     

纳米CeO2吸附剂的制备及对六价铬的吸附性能

吸附法是去除水中重金属离子的重要方法,开发新型吸附剂一直是研究热点.利用浸渍法和水热法制备了片状和无定形的纳米CeO2吸附剂,探讨其对六价铬的吸附性能,分析pH、吸附时间、六价铬初始浓度等因素对其吸附性能的影响,并通过循环吸附实验考察纳米CeO2吸附剂的再生能力.结果表明:厚度30 nm、直径大小约为400 nm的片状CeO2吸附剂具有更强的吸附能力和更快的吸附速率,80 min时基本达到吸附平衡;两种吸附剂的最佳吸附pH为3;吸附动力学均符合伪二级动力学方程,Langmuir模型和Freundlich模型均能很好地拟合等温吸附过程,表明纳米CeO2对六价铬的吸附以单层吸附为主.片状CeO2四次吸附-解吸实验之后吸附率稍有下降,表明片状CeO2吸附剂有较好的再生能力,因而,该片状CeO2吸附剂适用于与酸性Cr(Ⅵ)废水的处理.     

Strategies for synthesizing non-bioaccumulable alternatives to PFOA and PFOS

This minireview describes the strategies for synthesis of fiuorinated surfactants potentially nonbioaccumulable.Various strategies have been focused on(Ⅰ) reducing the length of the perfluorocarbon chain,(Ⅱ) introducing hetero atoms into the fluorocarbon chain,(Ⅲ) introducing branch(herein and after branch means the fluoro-carbon chain section is not straight).In most cases,the surface tensions versus the surfactant concentrations have been assessed.These above strategies led to various highly fiuorinated(perfluorinated or not perfluorinated) surfactants whose chemical changes enabled to obtain novel alternatives to perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulphonate(PFOS).     

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of a Novel 14,20-Annulated Pentacyclic Steroid 17(S)-Methyl-13β-hydroxyl-14(R),20(S)-epoxy-pregn-4-en-3-one

The title compound 17(S)-methyl-13β-hydroxyl-14(R),20(S)-epoxy-pregn-4-en-3-one was synthesized by an improved tandem reaction, and its structure was determined by IR, NMR, HR MS and X-ray single-crystal diffraction. The crystal belongs to orthorhombic, space group P212121 with a = 10.55248(15), b = 12.14700(16), c = 14.56841(18) ?, V = 1867.39(4) ?3, Z = 4, Dc= 1.175 g/cm3, μ= 0.604 mm-1, F(000) = 720, the final R = 0.0400 and w R = 0.1072 for 3610 observed reflections with I 2σ(I).
